Two police officers involved in the Eldorado Park incident to appear in court

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has on Friday the 28 August 2020 arrested the 2 Police Members attached to the Eldorado Park Crime Prevention Unit who are implicated in the alleged shooting of the 16 year old Nathaniel Julius in Eldorado Park last week.

The Directorate made this decision after  carefully considering the evidence acquired thus far. The investigation of this matter continues.

The pair will be charged with murder, possession of prohibited ammunition and possibly for Defeating the ends of justice.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in Protea Magistrate Court on Monday the 31 August 2020 at 09:00 am.
