It’s Judgement Day for two Ennerdale Police Officers

Today is the judgement day of the the two police officers, Constable G.A. Dintwe and Constable R. Johnson who were arrested by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) on the 13 June 2018 for a death in police custody case which occurred at the Ennerdale Police Station. This judgement will be at the Palm Ridge Court.

IPID Investigations revealed that an African male, Innocent Sebediela, who died in the police cells was assaulted by police officers together with other inmates he was apprehended with, allegedly for questioning the police officers.

Furthermore, the Directorate’s detective work revealed that the assaulted inmates were not registered in the Custody register.

There are also six other inmates who were assaulted in the same police cells by the 2 police officers.
