IPID arrests a 41-year-old Sergeant
Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has made an arrest of a 41-year-old Sergeant based in the Flying Squad, Midrand, Gauteng Province. The Sergeant is alleged to have shot his 35 year old girlfriend several times in the police barracks of Pretoria Moot . It is alleged that the Sergeant accused his girlfriend of having an extra love affair with his colleague. The member was arrested and appeared before court on Tuesday. He is in custody and will appear again in Pretoria Central Magistrate court on the 14 April 2020 for formal bail application. This incident took place on night of Sunday 05 April 2020 in the police barracks of Pretoria Moot.
