IPID arrest two Police Sergeant from Rooderpoort K9 for attempted murder, assault GBH, theft, MITP and defeating the ends of Justice.

The independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has today 10 December 2015, arrested two police sergeant for attempting to murder a 33 year old Nigerian man.

It is alleged that the on the 02 January 2015, two Police Sergeant stopped a Nigerian man, who was in a possession of R10 000.00.It is alleged that the Nigerian man resisted the arrest and managed to free himself away from the police.

It is allegedly that the two Police Sergeant shot and wounded the man while running away and they even stole R7100.00.

The complainant further alleges that the policeman went to his house and damaged his properties and threatens to kill him.

A case for attempted murder, assault GBH, theft, MITP and defeating the ends of Justice was opened at Krugersdorp SAPS and investigated by IPID.

The two policeman aged 41 and 38 were arrested and they will appear at Krugersdorp Magistrate Court,10 December 2015 around 13:00.
