IPID arrest 36 year old Police Sergeant from Germiston organised crime for murder and attempted murder cases
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has arrested
36 year old sergeant from Germiston organised crime unit for the murder
of a 32 old year man and attempted murder case of a 30 year old man.
It is alleged that on Saturday 03 October 2015 around 16:00 pm the
suspect met the deceased at Maake plaza Limpopo. The suspect then
requested his R100 .00 that he alleged to have landed to the deceased
long time. An argument broke between the two leading to some
scuffles. It is alleged the suspect went to the car to take his
pistol and shot the deceased four times and the deceased died in
the scene.
A surviving witness and a younger brother to the deceased
tried to calm the situation and he was also shot and wounded
in the leg. He was then admitted to hospital where he was later
discharged.
The suspect was arrested on Saturday 03 October 2015 and he
appeared today at Maake Magistrate Court on two charges of
one murder and second attempted murder. Magistrate refused
to grant the suspect with bail and the case has been postponed
to Thursday 08 October for a formal bail application.
