The ICD invites the media to a briefing to give feedback on some of its investigations in the Western Cape

The Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD) will be briefing the media on the progress of its investigations of the Plettenberg Bay (Knysna) rape of a guest house owner. The briefing will also cover a number other high profile cases investigated by the ICD Western Cape provincial office. The matters to be dealt with will range from the status of the investigations to the challenges faced by the ICD in such investigations.

The Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD) is an independent government institution established to investigate deaths in police custody and as a result of police action, allegations of police criminality as well as misconduct allegedly committed by members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Municipal Police Services (MPS).
