Drunk policeman shot and wound a man after an argument

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is investigating an off duty drunk policeman for shooting and injuring a man after argument with his service pistol.  

It is alleged that on the 22 March 2016, at about 00:30 a police officer who was drinking alcohol had an argument with another male patron and after a scuffle with the officer shot and injured the said patron on the leg.

The victim was then taken to the hospital for treatment

The officer was arrested and detained at Olivenhoutbosch police station on charges of attempted murder and discharge of state fire arm. He suspect will appear court tomorrow 23 March 2016.
