14-Year-Old Rape By Fathers Colleague: Police Barracks

IPID is investigating a case of Rape which took place in the police barracks last night 31 October 2021. It is alleged that the mother of a 14 yr old girl discovered that the girl was not in her room and she went to look for her. It is alleged she saw her coming out of a 29-year-old Police Constable's room having a towel on her waist.

She questioned her and the girl told her that she had been raped by the constable.  The victim was taken to hospital for examination and specimen were taken. The suspect is detained in Lady Frere police cells and will appear tomorrow in court. Details of which court will follow, investigations are continuing.
