IPID INVESTIGATING THE ALLEGED RAPE OF A 28 YEAR OLD FEMALE IN HEILBRON, FREE STATE - HEILBRON CAS 111/08/2012

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is investigating the rape of a 28 year old female in Heilbron, Free State.

It is alleged that on 28 August 2012 around midnight, the victim was at her place residence sleeping when she received a call from the 43 year old suspect allegedly in connection with information he was following up on. The victim went outside to the suspect’s vehicle (which is a state vehicle). The suspect opened the passenger door and the asked the victim to get in. The suspect apparently asked the victim to have sexual intercourse with him but the victim refused. The victim saw a firearm on the suspect and she became scared. The victim was allegedly raped in the state vehicle.

The victim reported the rape case on 29 August 2012 at Heilbron SAPS. A case docket was opened as per Heilbron CAS 111/08/2012.

The victim was taken to a doctor medical examination. The case is still being investigated. No arrests have been made.
