The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has arrested
36 year old sergeant from Germiston organised crime unit for the murder
of a 32 old year man and attempted murder case of a 30 year old man.
A VIP Protection Unit Warrant Officer arrested for murdering his wife and child
Pretoria - 13 September 2015
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate has arrested a 46 year
old VIP Protection police officer for murdering his wife and daughter. It
is alleged the Warrant officer from Pretoria Protection Unit at Union Buildings
Pretoria, shot and killed his 23 year old daughter and his 42 year old wife at
their home in Pretoria West.
IPID secured conviction for Mido Macia murder case

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has
secured conviction for eight policemen accused of killing
Mozambican taxi driver Mido Macia at North Gauteng High Court.
IPID arrested a Police Constable on allegations of statutory rape this afternoon
Pretoria - 20 August 2015
IPID arrested a 32 year old Police Constable while off duty on
allegations of Statutory Rape. The Police Constable who is stationed
at Moroka Police Station was arrested and detained at Protea
Glen Police Station this afternoon.
IPID secured X3 life sentences and 307 years imprisonment against 5 Police Officers
Pretoria - 17 August 2015
The IPID through its successful investigation managed to secure
a sentence of 5 Police Officers from Mondoer Police Station with
each of them receiving 3 terms of life imprisonment and an additional
307 years of imprisonment on 64 counts of cases ranging from Murder, Attempted
murder, Unlawful possession of unauthorised explosives and escape from
Lawful custody. The Police officers were sentenced on 23 October 2014.
